West Ham United have completed the signing of Robbie Keane from Tottenham Hotspur. The striker has inked a six-month loan deal with the Hammers, and the Upton Park club have the option of making the move permanent for a fee of £6M.

"Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy drives a hard bargain, but we’ve got our man", said West Ham chairman David Gold.

Keane himself is keen to get started and despite being 30 years old is sure he has plenty more to offer.

"I feel I have plenty left to offer at the highest level for at least the next four or five years", said the Irishman.
