Parma have announced the signing of striker Amauri from Juventus on loan until the end of the season. The Brazil-born hitman has been linked with an exit from Turin for almost the entire transfer window, but as the clocked ticked by appeared to be staying an Old Lady player.

The 30-year-old has joined Parma in order to get games under his belt and rediscover his goalscoring touch. The striker had been the subject of interest from two clubs from England – Fulham and West Brom – but was clear he did not want to join either; he was also linked with Real Madrid earlier in the window as Los Blancos searched for a forward.

Amauri is expected to complete a permanent move away from Juventus at the end of the season when once again there will surely be a scramble for his signature.
