Mauro Camoranesi looks set for a return to Argentina as he edges closer to joining Lanus.
The 34-year-old, who is from the country, yet turned out for Italy at international level, is a free agent having terminated his contract with Bundesliga side Stuttgart – he can therefore move outside the transfer window.
Camoranesi endured a difficult time in Germany after joining the club from Juventus last summer. Now the midfielder could well be poised to sign a contract until the end of the current Argentine season with Lanus.
