Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have begun to make eyes at Kaiserslautern’s Croatian playmaker Ivo Illicevic. The Allianz Arena club are already deep in planning their summer targets and Illicevic, whose contract expires in 2012, is a name seriously under consideration.

The 24-year-old, who was born in Germany, but decided to represent Croatia at international level, has won two caps for his country and looks set to have a bright future.

Kaiserslautern only signed the schemer on a permanent basis from VfL Bochum last year and would not be keen to part with the Croat, however, it is believed a bid from Bayern Munich of between €3M and €4.5M could be enough to convince their Bundesliga rivals to sell.
