AC Milan will do all they can to keep hold of Alexandre Pato according to reports from Italy. The Rossoneri are well aware that their Brazilian forward could become a target for Manchester City and Barcelona in the summer, while Real Madrid have taken an interest in Pato in the past.

Milan have watched with interest as Fernando Torres was sold by Liverpool to Chelsea and rate Pato in the same bracket. But while the Serie A giants remain unwilling to sell, they readily admit that should Pato angle for a move, then they could be forced to work hard to secure the best possible deal.

Any such deal with City would undoubtedly see Milan ask for Mario Balotelli to head the other way, while if Real Madrid again showed an interest, then the return of Kaka would be on the Rossoneri’s agenda.

However, Milan’s official position remains that Pato is not for sale.
