Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has admitted that he is missing Italy. The Portuguese quit as boss of Inter last summer after leading the Nerazzurri to an astonishing Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League treble. And despite having problems aplenty in Italy, Mourinho has revealed that he misses the country and its football.

"After England I arrived in Italy and found a completely different world, and far more complex", said Mourinho to Sky. "But for me, the worst thing is after coaching in Italy. Not because I did not like it, but because I liked it so much [especially] on TV [coverage], talking with Gianluca Vialli, Arrigo Sacchi, people with respected opinions that make you think and make you learn."

And Mourinho claims that striker Hernan Crespo, who he often questioned about life in Italy when he had the Argentine at Chelsea, told him some words which now ring very true.

"But I always remember what I said when I had Crespo at Chelsea. Hernan told me many times, because I asked a lot of questions about Italy and he always answered me, he told me: ‘When we are in Italy we are tired of Italy, when we’re not in Italy, we miss Italy. And it’s true’.", said Mourinho.
