Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez is ready to make Emmanuel Adebayor’s stay at the Bernabeu a permanent one if the Togo man can find himself amongst the goals.

Perez is keen for Los Blancos to have a classical number 9 and his interest in Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente has not waned. However, Adebayor is likely to prove a cheaper option and Real Madrid can pay €18M in the summer to make the former Arsenal striker’s switch a permanent one.

A real possibility though remains that Perez can push through a deal for Llorente, keen to ensure the Spain international is kept from Barcelona’s clutches and also completes a deal for Adebayor. In this scenario, French striker Karim Benzema, who earns €5M per year at Real Madrid, could be sold for €30M.

Should Benzema be made available in the summer then there are likely to be no shortage of takers for the ex-Lyon striker. Manchester United, Juventus and Inter have all been linked with moves for the Frenchman, while Lyon have also let it be known that the would be keen to take back their former player.

The next month looks crucial as Perez ponders Real Madrid’s strikeforce for next season.
