Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been voted Czech Footballer of the Year for the fourth time. The 28-year-old has been honoured for his superb performances between the sticks for the Premier League giants and it is a sign of the esteem in which he is held in his homeland.

Cech beat Tomas Rosicky of Arsenal and Atletico Madrid’s Tomas Ujfalusi to the award which was voted for by the country’s players, coaches, sports officials and journalists.

The keeper has previously won the award in 2005, 2008 and 2009. Cech has also picked up 78 caps for his country since making his debut in 2002.
