Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro has revealed that he has two dreams before he hangs up his boots, both of which he wants to achieve while at the southern Italian club.

The 29-year-old also declared himself delighted with the way Napoli’s current campaign is progressing and is focused on the club’s crucial battle with Roma to come this weekend.

"I am very pleased with how our season is going, so far. I am not just the captain, I am a also a die-hard Napoli fan and I am from Naples", said Cannavaro. "My team-mates and I are looking forward to Saturday’s big game against AS Roma in Rome. It will be a tough and exciting encounter – they have lots of top players, but we are ready."

And on the future the Napoli captain confirmed what is helping to drive him forward in the game as he aims to fulfil two big dreams.

"I’ve got two objectives before I retire in a few years – winning the Serie A title with Napoli and earning a call to the national team. I daydream about that all the time."
