Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has again been linked with a summer switch to Manchester United and the 24-year-old admits he believes the Premier League giants are a great team.

United are searching for a world-class replacement for Edwin van der Sar who is due to hang up his gloves at the end of the current season. And while Lloris was keen to say that he is not thinking about leaving Lyon, he did state United make him dream.

"Manchester United are a big name in football", Lloris told RMC

"This is one of the most successful clubs in the world, so of course, Manchester is one of the clubs that make me dream."

The Lyon shot-stopper also thinks it is a shame Van der Sar is retiring, even at the age of 40.

"It is unfortunate to lose a keeper like Van der Sar, because even at 40 he is able to achieve exceptional things. I also think he could keep playing."

And on the subject of a move to Old Trafford, Lloris was sure that at present there was no chance of him departing from his Ligue 1 club.

"But for me, there’s no question of a departure from Lyon at the moment.", said the keeper.

It is clear however that if United were to agree a fee with Lloris’ side in the summer, then the Frenchman would be desperate to take up the challenge of succeeding Van der Sar.
