Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has slapped a €70M asking price on the head of highly rated Argentine Javier Pastore, while also admitting that he feels that the player will not move to Juventus.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been attracting attention from clubs across Europe, with Juventus long considered to be the keenest on his signature. However, Zamparini does not believe the Old Lady is a realistic destination for Pastore.

"When I told Tuttosport journalists that to give up Pastore to Juventus I would request [Claudio] Marchisio or [Giorgio] Chiellini, I was just joking. Pastore will never move to Juventus, and in any case, if they want him they must talk directly to me, not through the papers", Zamparini told Radio Radio.

The president then explained that it was his plan to keep hold of Pastore for next season at least, and if he were to put an asking price on his head it would be €70M.

"My intention is to keep him with us for next season because we have one of the best attacking groups in Serie A. His asking price? €70M, he is one of the best players in the world and there are some clubs that can spend that amount."
