Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid could rival Chelsea in the race for AC Milan’s Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato in the summer.

Pato is set to be the subject of much interest and Chelsea have long been assumed to be in the driving seat, with suggestions that they are readying a bid of €40M to take the player to Stamford Bridge.

But Pato is admired in Spain too, where Real Madrid believe he could be an excellent addition to their forward line.

The latest chatter from the Spanish capital suggests that Los Blancos could offer Sergio Ramos in exchange for Pato. Ramos has been a long-standing target for the Rossoneri and the opportunity to take the defender to Serie A could prove too good to pass up.
