Palmerias have been sounding out Wolfsburg over the possibility of taking their striker Grafite back to Brazil, but talks have stalled.

The Brazilian side wanted to take the 31-year-old on loan before deciding on a permanent move but, with the striker seeing his contract run out in June 2012, the Bundesliga club are reluctant to agree to that type of deal.

It now appears any move will be a sale, with Palmerias expected to return to Wolfsburg with a new proposal in the next few days.

Grafite has been prolific in the Bundesliga, but Wolfsburg have endured a miserable season and are looking to reshape their squad for the 2011/12 campaign.
