Well-travelled French coach Philippe Troussier has been unveiled as the new coach of Chinese Super League side Shenzhen Ruby.

The 55-year-old is vastly experienced and has managed around the world, taking in spells with the Ivory Coast, Kaizer Chiefs, Nigeria, South Africa, Japan, Qatar, and Morocco amongst others. This will be the first time he has managed a Chinese side however.

"I am very happy to be here in China", said Troussier as he was presented and also said he "has knowledge of Chinese football as well as the national league."

Troussier’s new club, Shenzhen Ruby, battled relegation last season, something they will be hoping to avoid under the Frenchman.
