Philadelphia Union have ended Carlos Ruiz’ spell with Greek club Aris Salonika, with the Guatemalan moving back to the MLS.
Ruiz enjoyed much success in the MLS, turning out for Los Angeles Galaxy, FC Dallas and Toronto FC before heading to Paraguayan club Olimpia and then on to Mexican side Puebla, before joining Aris.
The 31-year-old struggled to discover his goalscoring form in Greece and a return to the United States means a return to the league in which he was at his most prolific.
