Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to do all he can to tempt Japanese playmaker Keisuke Honda to the club.

Honda currently turns out for Russian side CSKA Moscow, but has been linked with a move back to western Europe in the last twelve months. Indeed, Honda came close to signing for AC Milan last summer, with the deal only being scuppered at the last minute.

Now De Laurentiis wants to ensure Honda does end up in Italy and looks set to contact CSKA in order to push through a deal. The Napoli supremo believes that Honda would bring benefits to the club not just on the pitch, but off it too, with the player an icon back in his homeland.

CSKA however will surely not allow Honda to leave easily and are counting on the Japan star for the new Russian season which is due to kick off on 12th March.
