Highly rated young forward Terence Makengo is the subject of interest from Chelsea and Inter.
The 18-year-old is running out of contract with current club Monaco, and reports from France suggest Chelsea especially have firmed up their interest. The Stamford Bridge side are thought to have made Makengo a lucrative offer that would also allow his family to move to England with him, lessening the chances of the player becoming homesick.
A product of France’s legendary Clairefontaine academy, Makengo has made the breakthrough at Monaco this season, being called up to train with the senior team by current coach Laurent Banide. The 18-year-old made his senior debut in the 2-1 Ligue 1 defeat to Marseille in November.
Monaco are keen to convince Makengo to sign a new deal with the club but, with the side battling relegation to Ligue 2 and Chelsea and Inter circling, the chances are the starlet will be heading out of the Principality in the summer.
