Barcelona star Dani Alves has ended speculation about his future by inking a contract extension with the Catalan giants. The new deal will keep Alves with the Blaugrana until 2015, and has left the full back delighted.
Alves commented that: "being at the club for so many years is a dream.
"I’m playing at one of the world’s most desired teams, which are making history. I seize this moment in my career as long as possible."
While contract negotiations had dragged on, and other sides such as Manchester City had become alerted to the player’s potential availability, Alves was sure that he wanted to stay at the Camp Nou.
"The most important thing is that I’m happy and I want to make the most of it [being at Barcelona], it is a privilege and a joy to be here."
