Serie A side Roma are believed to be interested in taking Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Niko Kranjcar to Italy.
The 26-year-old Croatian remains keen to ensure he enjoys more regular first team football and almost quit White Hart Lane in the January transfer window, with Werder Bremen prominent in the chase for his services.
Now Roma are thought to be running the rule over Kranjcar as they consider how to invest some of the transfer funds made available through Thomas DiBenedetto’s takeover of the club. The new owner is reported to have increased the Giallorossi’s budget to €40M.
Kranjcar would most probably command €10M of that amount, with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp still reluctant to lose the former Hadjuk Split man and adamant he will only do so for a substantial fee.
