Napoli’s Slovak schemer Marek Hamsik has admitted he is going to have to play the waiting game to see whether he remains at the San Paolo next season.

The Serie A side look set to qualify for next season’s Champions League, a feat which would surely go some way towards ensuring Hamsik remains at the club next season, but despite admitting to enjoying his time in Naples, Hamsik can’t be sure.

Speaking after Napoli’s 1-0 win over Genoa yesterday, Hamsik told Sky Sport that: "The Champions League is closer, but there are still three more games. We still need to get points."

And on his future, the Slovak commented: "Remain in Naples? I have a contract here. I enjoy it. We’ll see what happens."
