Catania striker Maxi Lopez has refused to be drawn on his future and insisted he is happy at the Serie A club. The Argentine hitman arrived at the Italian side at the start of last year from FC Moscow, and has gone on to become a success at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

And it is no surprise that Lopez has been linked with several other clubs, although Catania managed to keep hold of the 27-year-old last summer.

"At Catania I’m fine", said Lopez when asked about rumours he could leave the club this summer.

"I have a contract and now I think about just winning all the games that remain until the end of the season."

A former Barcelona player, Maxi Lopez was identified for great things at an early age and moved to the Camp Nou from River Plate in 2005 for €16M. Since that time the striker has failed to live up to expectations though, despite going on to establish himself as a solid performer in Europe. As such, Lopez has never been capped for Argentina.
