Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has confirmed that his future is unclear and he must speak to the Serie A side to resolve it as quickly as possible.

The southern Italian side have enjoyed a good season thus far and will enjoy Champions League football next season. Napoli still sit in third spot, despite losing 2-1 away to Lecce at the weekend, and hold a six point lead over Udinese with just two games left – suggesting third is where they will finish.

"Considering the results obtained during these years we must sit around the table and talk", said Mazzarri.

"We didn’t know that we were going to qualify for the Champions League, so we must talk about it. Now I can’t say things that can’t be said. I can sign a contract, but that’s not all."

And Mazzarri dismissed rumours of a move elsewhere, suggesting he was not aware of interest from other clubs.

"I swear that I don’t know anything about other clubs’ interest. I must first talk with my club."
