La Liga side Malaga are eyeing a swoop for Inter’s Brazilian defender Lucio according to reports from Spain.
The Manuel Pellegrini-coached team are already looking ahead to next season and are determined not to repeat the relegation battle of this season. Indeed, Malaga are even hopeful of a European push.
Backed by the millions of Middle East Sheikh Al-Thani, the Andalucian side are ready to boost their squad with a summer of high-profile arrivals to follow on from an impressive January which saw Martin Demichelis land from Bayern Munich and former Real Madrid striker Julio Baptista added.
Now Malaga are ready to move for Inter defender Lucio report local paper La Opinion de Malaga, believing the former Bayern Munich stalwart may be open to the idea of a switch to Spain.
Having played in the Bundesliga and Serie A, the 33-year-old should find the prospect of appearing in La Liga a tempting one. And the lucrative package that Pellegrini’s side would place in front of him may well seal the deal.
