Arsenal have been given a boost with the news that midfielder Andrei Arshavin has no plans to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The little Russian has been linked with a move back to his homeland, with former club Zenit St. Petersburg the keenest on his signature. However, any sign that Arsenal would be willing to cash in on the 30-year-old would undoubtedly see a number of other suitors quickly emerge.

However, according to Arshavin himself, a move is not something that is occupying his thoughts at present, despite a lack of silverware since he arrived in London.

"Despite recent media reports, I wish to stay at Arsenal", said the Russian.

"I am fine here and I have no reason to leave."
