Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the Premier League club are not looking to sell their best players.
Following the failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League, a number of Spurs’ stars have been attracting serious attention from other clubs, chiefly Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart.
But Redknapp is determined to keep hold of his key men, even if Croatian midfielder Modric recently admitted that a move for him is not out of the question.
"The chairman and I have discussed this", said Redknapp when questioned about selling stars this summer, "and we have no intention of selling any of them.
"They are at a top club and we are looking to improve the squad in the summer, not weaken it, in order to push for a Champions League place again next season."
Redknapp’s comments came in the wake of Modric admitting to Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List that: "If an offer comes in which is good for Tottenham and for me also, then a transfer is possible."
