Florentino Perez will not rest until Real Madrid have won their tenth Champions League. The Spanish giants have nine titles so far, but the elusive tenth that is so craved at the Bernabeu has yet to arrive, and this season the club had to watch as rivals Barcelona lifted the heaviest trophy in world football.

The Real Madrid supremo was speaking at the presentation of a book on Zinedine Zidane, the legendary French midfielder who contributed to Los Blancos’ last Champions League success in 2002, scoring in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.

Indeed, so highly does Perez rate the Frenchman, that Zidane was brought back to the club on his watch, working as a link between the management and playing staff.

"We are fortunate to have him in our memories and actively at Real Madrid", said Perez of Zidane, before turning his attention to the Champions League.

"I will not stop until the tenth win."
