Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has assured the club’s fans that Luka Modric will not be sold.

The Croatian was the subject of a failed £22M from Chelsea earlier this summer and had made positive noises about the prospect of heading to Stamford Bridge.

But Levy has poured cold water on any continuing transfer speculation by explaining that Modric will not be sold.

"That’s the end of it", said Levy.

"As I said a few weeks ago, there’s no further discussion.

"He was on holiday, so we’ve now had the conversation and he understands our position."
