Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has demanded that Cesc Fabregas’ future is sorted out soon as the transfer saga involving the Spaniard and Barcelona drags on.

Fabregas has not played in a single minute of Arsenal’s pre-season games and while the Gunners have pinpointed a troublesome hamstring injury, the belief is that the club and the midfielder are playing it safe while a move to the Camp Nou is on the agenda and until the English side know if the player will stay.

Wenger has admitted that Fabregas is unsettled and the conclusion of his future needs to happen quickly.

"I’m just worried that the player has to be completely focused and committed to our club", said Wenger.

"At the moment he’s coming back from an injury and we need to sort out that situation.

"He is the captain of our club and we have to make sure he is really focused on being with us. I don’t completely master the situation, it depends on Cesc.

"I think he’s in a moment when he thinks about it [the move to Barcelona] and it is a big concern."
