Roma are keen on Barcelona defender Gabriel Milito.
Bossed by former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique, the Giallorossi have been informed that the Blaugrana would allow the Argentine defender to leave, despite the player still having one year remaining on his current contract.
A return to Argentina with Independiente or even heading back to his previous Spanish side Real Zaragoza have been mooted as options for Milito.
But the opportunity to move to Serie A and Roma would surely be too good to turn down.
And so Enrique is pondering whether to pair Milito up with fellow new signing Gabriel Heinze in the Giallorossi backline.
