The future of legendary Spanish striker Raul remains up in the air amid talk that he is ready to quit German side Schalke.

Raul has not seen eye-to-eye with Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick and, despite both parties playing down any rift, was left out of the Bundesliga side’s midweek Europa League trip to Finland to face HJK Helsinki – a game Schalke lost 2-0.

And there has been speculation of interest from Turkish outfit Besiktas and French giants Paris Saint-Germain in Raul, but the player’s agent has sought to dampen down this talk.

"I have not received any request from Besiktas, or from Paris Saint-Germain, I can assure you", Raul’s agent Gines Carvajal told AS.

"Last year there were a lot of offers, but Raul chose Germany since he thought it was the best for his career."

Carvajal’s words are unlikely to quieten speculation that the former Real Madrid star is on his way out of Schalke however, with Raul sure to receive offers before the summer transfer window shuts.

His current contract at Schalke expires at the end of the season.
