Former Brazil coach Dunga is back in the dugout.

The 47-year-old has agreed to head to the Middle East to boss Qatari side Al Rayyan.

Dunga succeeds his countryman Paulo Autuori at the club, who has left to take charge of Qatar’s Under-23 side, aiming to ensure qualification to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Dunga’s appointment is yet another big coup for a Middle Eastern side.

Indeed, Dunga follows Diego Maradona to the region after the former Argentina boss took charge of Dubai-based club Al Wasl.

Dunga will now prepare his side for the new Qatar Stars League, which gets going on 16th September.
