In-demand Athletic Bilbao star Iker Muniain has stamped on speculation about his future, insisting that with the Basques enjoying such a successful season, such talk is normal.

The 19-year-old forward has been linked with a whole host of Europe’s elite, including English Premier League powerhouses Manchester United and Liverpool.

But the Spaniard, who played and scored during Athletic’s 4-2 Europa League win away at Schalke last night, is happy to remain at the San Mames.

"When the whole team plays well, the transfer market talk is normal", said Muniain.

"But what I can say is that these rumours do not affect me very much because I know I have a contract until 2015."

Despite Muniain’s words, Athletic are sure to field interest for their youth product this summer and may have a difficult decision to make over his future.

For now however, the Spaniard is a key man in an Athletic side pushing for Europa League glory and a top four finish in La Liga.
