Goalscoring midfielder Benjamin Corgnet is closing on a move to Lyon.
Les Gones are thought to have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old, with the only obstacle to a deal now being the agreement of a fee with the player’s side Dijon.
That is not thought to be likely to present Lyon with too many problems and an offer of around €4M-5M should be sufficient to snare Corgnet.
The Frenchman recently went on record as stating that a switch to the Stade Gerland is his preferred choice this summer.
And that is despite having fielded offers from English Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool.
Late developer Corgnet – the midfielder was playing in the French fifth tier as recently as 2010 – impressed in Ligue 1 last season and was one of Dijon’s few success stories.
Les Rouges were ultimately relegated to Ligue 2.
