Wealthy Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are ready to bid for Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder this summer, according to sources in Italy.

The Nerazzurri, who sold Samuel Eto’o to Anzhi last year in a move which shocked world football, are expecting another approach to be forthcoming from the Russian Premier League outfit, this time for Sneijder.

Anzhi coach Guus Hiddink is believed to have given his blessing to the transfer attempt and would gladly welcome his countryman to the club.

Anzhi are ready to offer €25M for the Dutchman, while he would earn a substantial €15M per year if he agreed to make the move to Russia.

It remains to be seen how Inter will react to Anzhi’s transfer offensive, with the Nerazzurri having planned to keep hold of the attacking midfielder for the 2012/13 campaign.

A large bid though may turn the head of both club and player.

Anzhi are determined to make a splash in Europe next season and Hiddink’s men will compete in the 2012/13 Europa League.

Sneijder has not been widely linked with a move away from Inter this summer and, with his oft mooted destination of Manchester United already having welcomed Japanese schemer Shinji Kagawa, a switch to Old Trafford looks off the agenda.

Anzhi therefore may well appeal to the former Real Madrid playmaker if he opts to leave Italy.
