Paris Saint-Germain’s primary language in the dressing room is Italian, midfielder Thiago Motta has revealed.

The French outfit signed Motta from Inter in the January transfer window, and he was joining a club at which Carlo Ancelotti had just taken charge.

And the former Chelsea boss has continued to add to the contingent of either Italians or players who speak Italian from spells in Serie A, leading to a strengthening as Italian of the language of choice at the Parc des Princes.

"There are many Brazilians, but there is a curious thing about the club and players", Motta told Globoesporte.

"Indeed, the most used language is Italian", he added.

"Many players have played in Serie A and the coach is Italian; the language is Italian, it is not French."

PSG have recently added to their Italian-speaking contingent by signing Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan, while Marco Verratti has also joined.

They link up with other Italian speakers including Ezequiel Lavezzi, Maxwell, Javier Pastore, Salvatore Sirigu and Jeremy Menez, while sporting director Leonardo too speaks the language.
