Inter star Wesley Sneijder has urged the Nerazzurri to do all they can to bring countryman Ibrahim Afellay to the San Siro.

Afellay has been informed by new Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova that his chances of first team football at the Spanish giants are slim next season and the Blaugrana are prepared to sell the 26-year-old for the right price.

Sneijder’s Inter are just one of the clubs to have been linked with the Holland attacking midfielder this summer, alongside English trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

French giants Lille meanwhile have already lodged a bid for Afellay.

But Sneijder, who knows the player’s qualities from working with him at international level with the Oranje, wants to see the former PSV Eindhoven man in a blue and black shirt next season.

Inter are bidding to challenge for next season’s Serie A title and claim back the mantle of top Milan team from their rivals AC Milan.

Snaring Afellay would surely hand the Nerazzurri a greater chance of achieving those goals.
