Alex Song has declared himself delighted to have completed his transfer from Arsenal to Barcelona.
The Catalan giants have paid €19M for Song, who has inked a five-year contract at the Camp Nou, with a release clause figure of €80M.
And upon his presentation at Barcelona, the defensive midfielder appeared a picture of joy, and was quick to speak of his happiness at putting pen to paper with Tito Vilanova’s side.
"I am very happy to be here because everyone knows who is the best team in the world", said the Cameroon international.
"I am very happy to be here and I always wanted to play for Barca and play with the best in the world, like Cesc [Fabregas], [Lionel] Messi and [Andres] Iniesta."
Song did accept though that he will have to work hard to earn a place in the starting eleven.
"I want to fight for a place in the team. I will do my job and give everything in training."
