Jose Mourinho has refused to close the door on Real Madrid being active in the transfer market once more before the window slams shut on Friday.
Los Blancos have just completed the capture of Luka Modric from Tottenham Hotspur, ending a long summer chase for the Croatian playmaker.
Out have gone midfielders Hamit Altintop and Nuri Sahin, the latter on a season-long loan to Liverpool.
But Real Madrid’s executives may not have finished working in the transfer market, as Mourinho has insisted he cannot preclude further activity.
"Until Friday, we will not close the door on an arrival or departure", said the Portuguese tactician, when asked about whether he could yet be involved in the frenetic end to the transfer period.
Real Madrid have endured a poor start to the new La Liga season, drawing at home to Valencia and losing away at Getafe.
