Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admits he expects a tight game when his side travel to Anfield to play Liverpool tomorrow.
The Premier League clash is the undoubted highlight of the weekend’s football and with Liverpool still looking for their first league victory of the season, it has an intriguing subplot.
relatedNewsStory Ferguson is well aware that his side have lost four of their last six visits to Anfield and the legendary boss is not expecting his men to blow Liverpool away, despite being the undoubted form team of the two.
Indeed, for the Red Devils boss, a tight match is in prospect.
"In tight games like this you know there are not going to be a lot of goals. It will be an odd-goal victory for either side or maybe a draw", Ferguson told his club’s official site.
"Our away form last year was terrific, one of the best years we have had away from home. We hope that continues.
"We want to make sure we do our best and represent ourselves in the proper way. That is the key for us on Sunday, just to enjoy it. Once the whistle goes, go and win the game. That should be our attitude."
Ferguson expects to have summer signings Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa available for the game, and the duo could be crucial in helping Manchester United to claim three precious points.
