Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla believes that, were the Gunners able to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow, it would hand the side a huge confidence boost.
The Spain international is sure that Arsenal can compete against Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, citing the club’s draw away at Manchester City earlier this season, and that match has shown him what a win could do for morale around the Emirates Stadium.
And so, Cazorla is hoping that victory might be on the cards tomorrow, with all that would bring.
"[A win] would be great for the team’s confidence. To beat such a strong side at their own ground makes you stronger in all aspects", the former Malaga star told Arsenal’s official site.
"Let’s take the example of our match against Manchester City, which was a difficult game against a tough side.
"The team showed incredible quality and could even have won the game, so we came out of that match much stronger than before."

But the Spaniard feels that to make that a reality, to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, Arsenal must play a possession-based game.
"I think the key to modern football is having possession, the more you have the more you control the game", he said.
"At Old Trafford we need to control the game and keep hold of the ball."
