Kevin De Bruyne has played down comments from one of his former coaches that he is a more complete player than Eden Hazard, signalling his admiration for his club and international team-mate.
Both Belgium internationals are under contract to English giants Chelsea, though only Hazard is at Stamford Bridge presently, with De Bruyne having been sent out on a season-long loan to Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen.
De Bruyne is performing superbly in Germany and recently, Hein Vanhaezebrouck, who used to coach the midfielder at Genk, broke cover to declare his prodigy to be a more complete player than Hazard, able to do more with the ball and suggesting that the former Lille man is a little limited in comparison.
While the praise is flattering for De Bruyne, he will not criticise Hazard and instead saluted the Chelsea star, pointing out that he holds a place in the Blues’ starting eleven – something the former Genk man would very much like to have.
"We cannot be compared", De Bruyne told Belgian TV channel RTBF.
"We are two different players", he continued.

De Bruyne will hope to join Hazard as a first team player at Stamford Bridge next season and recently stated how he plans to do all he can to make sure he spends 2013/14 with Chelsea.
