Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has held a Twitter question and answer session with his sponsors Adidas.
The midfielder spoke about who he rates as the best striker he has ever played with, what former Liverpool player he would love to see back at Anfield, and which manager he has not played under he would like to.

Q. When you first signed for Liverpool, what were your goals? Did you expect to come this far?
A. My goal was to establish myself in the team, I never expected to come this far!
Q. In training, who is the one that mucks around the most?
A. Luis Suarez – he’s a nuisance!
Q. What is your favourite milkshake flavour?
A. Banana
Q: Would you rather play alongside Messi or Ronaldo, and why?
A. I’d like to play alongside both! But if I had to pick, Messi – he’s a genius
Q. What’s the biggest thing to remember when following your dream?
A. Give it your best everyday and stick to it, no regrets
Q. What is your biggest pride in your football career?
A. The medals and caps
Q. What is the most unusual pre-match superstition you have ever seen?
A. Paul Ince, he doesn’t put a shirt on until he’s outside the dressing room!
Q. Do you follow any other leagues besides the Premier League?
A. La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga

A. I listen to lots of stuff, but Dakota by Stereophonics is my favourite
Q. What did it feel like to win the UEFA Champions League the way you did?
A. Incredible feeling, difficult to describe

A. Mourinho, the special one

A. Debut, it was playing for LFC

A. Xabi Alonso – best midfielder I’ve played with, I miss playing with him

A. Zinedine Zidane – he had everything

A. FA Cup final vs West Ham – it was the game, the timing and the importance

A. The responsibility of both the roles

A. Ha ha, once a month

A. Both – both mean a lot to me

A. Professional golfer
