Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach are keen on a January swoop for Chelsea star Marko Marin, with coach Lucian Favre admitting "we’ll see what happens".
Marin only joined Chelsea in the summer, penning a deal to switch from German side Werder Bremen. He has though struggled to make much of an impact at Stamford Bridge, with the attacking trio of Oscar, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard hogging the limelight.
So far this season, the 23-year-old has managed just one appearance for Chelsea, coming in the League Cup.
Under contract with the Blues until 2017, it remains to be seen whether manager Roberto Di Matteo will sanction a quick sale of the attacking midfielder.
But in Germany speculation is rife that Gladbach want Marin.
And though Favre would not be drawn on the specifics, he did dangle the prospect of developments in January.
"I do not want to comment on that", said the Gladbach boss.

Gladbach lost influential midfielder Marco Reus in the summer, with the Germany international moving to Borussia Dortmund.
Snapping up Marin, whose stock remains sky high in the Bundesliga, would be seen as a real step in plugging that gap.
