FC Nordsjaelland goalkeeper Jesper Hansen admits that he would most certainly be open to moving to Italy’s Serie A.

The custodian has been linked with Chievo and Bologna of late, with the pair having been impressed with the 27-year-old’s performances for Nordsjaelland in the Champions League, despite their whipping boy status.

And Hansen believes a move to Serie A could be the right next step in his career.

"It sounds very exciting", he told Danish daily BT.

"I like Serie A and I am a great fan of Italian football, so a move there could be very interesting.

"I also believe that in purely football terms this is a league that would really suit me well."

Aside from a short loan spell with Olstykke in 2005, Hansen has spent his entire career at Nordsjaelland in his homeland.

He helped the club to win the Danish Superliga title last season, while he also has two Danish Cups to his name.

Hansen has yet to be capped at senior international level by Denmark though.
