Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta has admitted that the Italian champions are interested in Didier Drogba, but need to understand just what the financial implications of bringing the Ivorian to Turin would be.

Drogba joined Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua last summer on a big money deal, when he chose to call time on his long association with Chelsea.

But the striker may well be on the move from the Blue Devil and Juventus could be in the running to take him back to Europe.

"You always make inquiries about players and we also have done so", Marotta told La Domenica Sportiva.

"We have noticed that he is available, but now we must assess whether he can be reconciled with our finances.

"Then we will talk with coach Antonio Conte."

Drogba has often been a popular option for clubs in Serie A, but has yet to make the move into Italian football.

The 34-year-old has also been linked with AC Milan of late, although like the Bianconeri, the Rossoneri have some concerns over Drogba’s potential wage demands.
