English Premier League outfit West Ham have been linked with making a move for Marseille defensive midfielder Charles Kabore.

According to Le 10 Sport, the Hammers are keen on snapping up the 24-year-old – and Marseille are certainly not opposed to his departure.

Kabore takes home €1.8M per year at the Stade Velodrome, an amount that Marseille would be happy to shed from their wage bill.

Losing the 24-year-old would be a blow for coach Elie Baup however, with Kabore having performed a vital role in his side so far this season.

Indeed, Kabore has played in 17 of Marseille’s 19 Ligue 1 games to date, helping the club to mount a title push.

However, Marseille could use the space created by Kabore’s departure to push ahead with plans to sign Moussa Sissoko from Toulouse.

Sissoko’s current deal at Toulouse expires at the end of the season and there is already healthy competition for his signature.
