Borussia Monchengladbach are keen on Greuther Furth winger Sercan Sararer, his agent has admitted.

The 23-year-old is expected to be leaving the Trolli Arena at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Sararer was thought to be all set to depart for Turkey, but he has had a change of heart, declaring, "I’m staying in Germany", recently.

Despite being born in Nurnberg, Sararer has chosen to turn out at international level for Turkey and has nine caps to his name so far.

But his future continues to lie in Germany – and Borussia Monchengladbach are keen.

"Borussia are in the inner circle of interested parties", Sararer’s agent Fritz Popp told German daily Bild.

The winger is rated as a bright prospect for the future, but his performances for a struggling Greuther Furth side this season have been disappointing.

While Greuther Furth look set for the drop to the 2.Bundesliga though, Sararer does not look poised to join them in the second tier.
