Former Chelsea and Lazio striker Hernan Crespo has criticised Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, pointing out that the Sweden international has a clear weakness.

Ibrahimovic has been in sensational form for PSG since landing in France over the summer, scoring 18 goals in Ligue 1.

But the former AC Milan man has yet to score with his head in the French top flight – and for Crespo, his aerial game is a clear weakness.

"His biggest flaw is that he does not score many headed goals despite his large size", Crespo was quoted as saying by Maxifoot.

"He is so good and so sure of his ability he can say ‘I will not stand at the near post to put my head in, what I want is to volley the ball or link up in a move’.

"It is a shame because if he was often first to put his head to the ball, he would score more goals."

Ibrahimovic is nevertheless considered as one of the finest strikers in world football.

The Swede seems to be powering PSG to the Ligue 1 title almost single-handedly at times.

He has though not won a Champions League and is also yet to be hailed by his contemporaries with the Ballon d’Or. Indeed, Ibrahimovic did not make the final three shortlist for the 2012 accolade.
