Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has rubbished media talk that he has received an ultimatum over the future of Jose Mourinho.

Spanish daily Marca reported that Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas had informed the president that if Mourinho remained as coach next season he would have an exodus of key players on his hands.

But Perez has come out to deny that he has received an ultimatum to dispense with Mourinho as Real Madrid coach before the start of the new campaign.

"Everything that is being published in the press regarding the ultimatum against the coach is false", he announced at a hastily convened press conference.

"We are the only ones who decide the club’s future.

"News that there is an ultimatum from the players is totally false."

The pressure though is most certainly growing on Mourinho, with Real Madrid 15 points behind Barcelona in La Liga and looking to have firmly lost the Spanish title.

His relationship with a number of senior players, including Ramos and Casillas, is also thought to be strained.
