Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the loaning of promising striker Souleymane Coulibaly to Italian side Grosseto until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old was snapped up by Spurs in the summer of 2011, following his superb performance at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup with the Ivory Coast.

Coulibaly bagged nine goals in the tournament, which was enough to push Spurs to complete a move for him, with the player arriving from Italian side Siena.

Now the Ivorian is heading back to Italy for first team football to speed up his development.

He lands at a club sitting rock bottom of Serie B and facing an almost impossible task to survive, with only eleven points from 22 games, eleven off safety.

The young Spurs hitman will hope to have some sort of impact in Italy, before returning to White Hart Lane in the summer.

Grosseto are next in action tomorrow, when they host Cittadella, a must-win match for the Tuscan club.
